We're finishing off 2021 with gigs and private events. We were fortunate early in 2021 to be selected to pre-record a one-hour set of the province's long running Telemiracle 45. It was great to perform, even with no audience! Prior to that we recorded a set for Regina's Cathedral Village Arts Festival. And we managed to invade Preeceville and supply the entertainment for their community rodeo. We're proud of the fact that we can churn out four hours of rock, country, blues and reggae. The four musical food groups! Fun stuff. Switching back to blues, we'll play twice at Bushwakker Brew Pub, Regina's home of the blues. Watch for us in September and December. Also watch for us in a new event in Regina 'Cultural Evolution' on Oct 31 at Southland Mall outdoor stage.
well we've been grateful to have been busy during the first two months of 2020, and now we've slowed down with the rest of the world. But we did manage to shoot a new live video just prior to the pandemic slow down. We covered Sam Cooke's great classic 'Bring It On Home To Me' at the 2020 Mid-Winter Blues Festival. I hope you like it:)
Update Fall 2019/Winter 2020 - We're jumping into the new year with activity in a variety of venues. After playing several summer shows out of town, we have a variety of shows coming up. We're playing The Cure Nov 14, followed by our annual xmas week blues show at Bushwakker Brewpub on Dec 30, then Jan 10 in Saskatoon at Bud's on Broadway, plus we'll hit the Revival on Jan 22, Jan 29 and Feb 5, plus we hit Broadway Lounge on Jan 31 with the School of Rock adult band opening up our show. And then we've got a 2020 Mid-Winter Blues Festival main stage appearance at The Exchange on February 27. I'm also adding spring and summer activity including return visits to Regina's Revival Music Room in May, Yorkton City Limits, Preeceville Rodeo Days, and a groovy beach event at Sun Dale resort! And a few more events still to come.
Update Spring 2019- we're gearing up for a bunch of activity that will take us around the province - Regina, Saskatoon, Preeceville, Shaunavon, Yorkton and more. And on May 3, an international blues compilation was released by the UK's Ramshaw Records featuring Call Me Mildy, with a variety of international performers. The compilation is available on iTunes and Amazon. We've gained some blues radio play over this as well, its all good!
Speaking of radio play, my ballad ‘Haven’t I Told You’ is gaining fans on Jango Radio on a regular basis. Thanks to all those folks in various countries for liking Call Me Mildy!
Update January 14, 2019 - we had a great night at The Revival Music Room on Friday Jan 11 with our cd release 'take a bite of this', along with Beauty Killed the Beast and Second Wind joining the fun! Great crowd, we're very appreciative to those that came out to see us. It was a busy week as Global TV, LeaderPost, and CJTR all ran features on me and the release. We also secured more bookings, the summer is shaping up nicely, including a return to the Broadway Lounge on June 14, a return to my favourite Saskatoon venue Bud's On Broadway June 28, Preeceville July 13, Shaunavon July 19, and two showcase appearances as part of the Mid-Winter Blues Festival on March 2 as we return to The Lancaster Tap House, and a new hip venue The Cure. We're excited to take in all this activity, with more to come.
**Update January 1, 2019: Join Call Me Mildy at Regina's The Revival Room on Friday January 11 in support of our new album 'take a bite of this'. 11 original songs written by yours truly comprise the album, in follow up to the 2016 release of 'It's About Time'. A new music video for my song 'Runnin' will also be supporting the new album, releasing it on YouTube in early January. And more music vids to come! We've invited local bands Beauty Killed the Beast, and Regina School of Rock adult band 'Second Wind' to join the party. $10 at the door. Show starts at 9:00pm.
Gonna have fun in 2019, gigs are getting booked into the summer and Fall. Cheers!

Check the About page for liner notes on 'take a bite of this.' In the meantime, here's a bit more about me:
Regina Canada's Call Me Mildy is a band that is setting its own rules when it comes to defining rocking blues. Singer songwriter Greg Mildenberger (Mildy) writes songs in an eclectic and tantalizing manner. Mildy writes songs from the heart, and that has transcribed to selling songs from his first album 'It's About Time' across the internet world and music platforms including iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, ect, in numerous countries spanning six continents.
Mildy's upcoming new release** 'Take a Bite of This' **will be released early in 2019, and contains a varied and dynamic lineup of songs, in fact some of his most sensational and impactful songs are on this album, plus a strong dose of fun-loving jump and swing blues.
Call Me Mildy has performed in numerous shows, events, and festivals since its creation in 2014. Mildy has secured a publishing contract with a U.S. music publisher for his song 'Where You Goin', featured on the new album. This opened the door for much of 'It's About Time' album to be secured for movie/synch rights. Mildy has also been a supporter and songwriter for the Songs of Love foundation in New York. Mildenberger has opened for the likes of blues heavy hitters such as Sonny Landreth, Tommy Castro, and the recent opening slot in front of roots/rock Big Sugar at the Casino Regina.
In 2018 we had some cool stops, including opening for Big Sugar at the Mid Winter Blues Festival finale at Casino Regina and later that night capping the fest at Regina's The Capitol, plus we hit the Bow Valley Festival, the Cathedral Festival, performed at various points in the province including Saskatoon, Preeceville, Shaunavon, and several homegrown stops in Regina too. 2019 promises to be just as interesting for the band, and the new album will be promoted on various media platforms.
Call Me Mildy, a fresh alternative prairie band.
